The Name

Aram and Porul are two of the four objectives of life in Tamil tradition. Aram, roughly translated as virtue, and Porul, or wealth, earned through such virtue, are considered the responsibility of every person and the building blocks of a just and prosperous society. Aram Porul enables organizations and individuals to deploy their resources in the most effective way possible, towards social change. Aram Porul enables organizations and individuals to maximize their social impact through carefully curated consultancy services.

The Logo

The Owl symbolizes wisdom in several cultures around the world. The owl’s ability to discern things, even in complete darkness, and its deep perception, are qualities we bring to our consulting services. The colour brown, symbolizes the earth which nourishes growth, and a grounded, steady characteristic, all of which we bring to the table with our wide experience working on the ground with grassroots organizations and the government.

PRASANNA

Founder – Director

Prasanna is a CSR and HR professional, an educator, and a writer with over 15 years’ experience in CSR consulting, HR management, and training. Strongly backed by Gandhian principles, Prasanna’s passion lies in enabling and empowering agents of social change.Prasanna comes with varied experience in HR, organization, and project management with a purpose. Before starting Aram Porul, he was an HR professional with Ma Foi Consulting, director of Samanvaya Social Ventures, and the project manager for CIOSA. He continues to lead Loyola College’s HR program, In today’s curated world, Prasanna’s experience working with corporates, NGOs, and the government provides clients with an unparalleled complete real view of the philanthropy and social change landscape.

SRIVIDHYA

Director

Srividhya is a CSR and communications professional with 16 years’ experience in project management, communications strategy and management, public relations, and volunteering. Srividhya has worked with corporates, PR firms, NGOs and CSR teams. Having worked in Public Relations and Communications for over ten years, handling reputed brands such as Naturals, Vels University, and ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu, Srividhya understands both the corporate and social sectors, and the probable areas of synergy. As former Manager of CIOSA (Confederation of India Organisation for Services and Advocacy), she brings to the table an intimate understanding of grassroots NGOs, and opportunities and pathways for effective collaboration and learning between NGOs and between NGOs and other stakeholders.
